Your possessions are valuable. When you hire a company like First Response to restore the contents of your home or business, all of the items are inventoried, packed in boxes, and moved to our state-of-the-art contents restoration facility.  Our restoration professionals treat your items with care and concern.  We meticulously document each item using pictures, item lists, and a numbering system to ensure that nothing is missed.

Our contents cleaning technicians will ask you to

  • Sign an authorization form
  • Identify your immediate need items such as emergency clothing (some of these may need to be cleaned quickly for your use)
  • Identify items to keep in your possession (Personal valuables, medications, jewelry, etc.)
  • Assist with “restore vs. replace” decisions, especially regarding family heirlooms and sentimental items
  • Be on site for pack-out and for re-delivery of your possessions.

First Response will handle the rest, including

  • Coordinating activities with your insurance claim representative
  • Separating items that will not be packed and moved, including items that will not be restored
  • Pack, provide general inventory and transport your belongings to our secure facility.  We will provide you with a copy of the general inventory.
  • Perform restoration, cleaning, deodorization, re-packing, and storage at our facility.
  • Provide regular, frequent communication regarding the progress of your restoration claim.
  • Arrange for re-delivery of your household belongings once restoration and reconstruction are complete.

During the restoration process, your items are kept in a secure area, restored using the industry’s most advanced equipment and processes, and returned to you when your property restoration is complete.
